Sometimes I'm disappointed over the news when they only say about BYJ's popularity talking about "Yon-sama". Now in Japan, Jiwoo-sama is more gaining in public favor.^^ (In October, Jiwoo's drama "Beautiful days" is going to be broadcast(NHK) and in December Jiwoo's drama "Stairways to Heaven' and her new movie 'Everyone has a Secret' will be showing. Jiwoo's popularity will be going higher.*^-^*

Choi Ji-woo, 29, who played Mr. Bae's lover in the drama(Winter Sonata), is also hitting in big in Japan. A DVD version of the psychothriller "Olgami," featuring Ms. Choi, will be released in Japan next month. Major Japanese sports dailies heralded the news yesterday.
In the film about a woman obsessed with her son, Ms. Choi plays the daughter-in-law who unknowingly falls into a dangerous trap laid by her mother-in-law. Ms. Choi was honored as best new actress at the 1998 Baeksang Arts Awards.

i do agree with you that ji woo is much more popular than BYJ... though i'm not from japan.... i really agree with you.... i watched beautiful days and it's really nice... ji woo is really a great actress... as for winter sonata, without ji woo, i think it will not be a hit... ji woo for me (for all of us) is a great actress and she can stand on her own two feet with or without BYJ.. i also heard ji woo's blooming popularity in japan because of everybody has a secret...
she once again proved that she is a a one of kind actress...
