At the same time, find fault with the contractual terms along the line of unfair advantage. It will be even better, if her lawyer can argue along the line of violating Lee Ma Ri basic human rights, if the terms specifically stated that she cannot have any contracts with CS.
Meanwhile, Lee Ma Ri should counter sue her "former" manager on breach of trust given that he owes a fiduciary duty to Lee Ma Ri. So far, what we see is exploitation and he has not acted on her best interest!! Am also quite sure Lee Ma Ri knows couple of her "major investors". Why not talking to them directly and get their support.
Hehe...as for the "to be" new controller, I do not think he is of any substance at all. His firm appears to be in big financial trouble. The only way for him to survive apparently is to merge with the firm of her "former" manager. ANC does not look like a list company, but what the heck they mentioned the share price kept dropping, unless the fundamentals of the company is weak.
Lee Ma Ri appears to be quite well off. Wouldn't that be interesting to see Lee Mari start acquiring the shares of ANC and be the major shareholders of ANC, then take over her former company or reverse takeover the former. Contractual and financial problems solved?

No worries, CS and Lee Ma Ri has already demonstrated enough of love. Love conquers all. There are enough obstacles, and it will be interesting to see how they tackle the hurdles. The rest of the drama will be very much depending on the remaining plot and execution by two lead actor and actress. So far CJW and YJT have been very great and emotionally very connected. Well, Bolt feels CJW is even emotionally more connected here with YJT compares to BYJ in Winter Sonata.

Support that the playwright should portray Mari's role as a stronger and smarter celebrity against her Manager...by now there are 8 more episodes to go...hopefully don't decide on the ending yet....leave more room for us fans to seek after...haha I have confidence in the PD and playwright....Star Lover is not Notting Hill, the movie was only around 100 mins but Star Lover is 20 episodes with 21 hours.....so there are more room to portray the characters here and we really wish Lee Mari can live on as a celebrity for a longer while...Fighting!!!

Yeah, the hairstylist consulted the lawyer and the lawyer apparently advised that it is going to be a tough fight. I believe the lawyer did not purview her contract. He gave his advice based on the hairstylist's verbal statement.
Based on the facts, circumstances and context, she appears to have signed the contract under duress. I just could not understand why she did not get a second opinion from a reputable barrister. Come on! she has been in the show business for at least 10 years (based on the timing where her first love disappearance), she must have heard or witness some inappropriate practices of other actors and actresses, why didn't she consult any of her peers. It is kind of strange to me!! No friends at all in her industry, except the hairstylist?
Based on my observation, she also appears quite "dumb" by giving her "former" manager a stake of bankers drafts (Episode 13). She should use the money to sue him!!
Moreover, why didn't she report the kidnapping and coercion to the police and let the law enforcement taking over the case. I guess, she may want to avoid publicity. Me too,found that the playwright and PD did not arrange Ep 13 logically when they went out in the crowded street and shops and finally checked into a hotel !!
They had aroused so much attention and here they wanted to prove they could be ordinary people and dating ?! No, it won't help but just a kind of emotional behavior ....and is this arrangement make them suffering so much and separate...is that no other ways out ?? So as to challenge Mari's love to CS, and then the first lover coming back??? I think this arrangement showed that they cannot face the real life when they stay together !!
