Thanks Jake. I just don't understand why Jiwoo's pronunciation is such a big issue that presenters and others harp on it now and again. It is not like everyone has perfect pronunciation except hers. Everyone makes slips now and then in our language, and we all know that accent and pronunciation are very senstitive issues in every culture. Even in the U.K., there is only 2% of the population who speaks the Queen's English (Received Pronuncation), or the so called proper English, and the rest of the population pronounces English in various ways. Also, not every Chinese speaks Mandarin like a mainlander today. Maybe these presenters are running out of topics that they find amusing about Jiwoo, hence the grandfather-like repetitions.

Thanks jake for highlighting the news. JiWoo's pronounciation issue is so big a news for them as if there is no more news left to read. About the TV presenters I'd like to suggest an idea. Since you know the language( I presume you are from Korea) and the TV station as well you should send an official protest letter to their complaint bureau so that the staff won't repeat their moronic mistakes again. I've done it once to our local newspaper for the similar kind of issue on another person and it works well. That's how we should point out and correct their uncalled for blunders from the media.
