Choi JiWoo had lived in Japan for photography of TBS drama "rondo" for more than 4 months. Yujin in drama "Winter Sonata" stimulates Japanese nostalgia, and gradually,
she came to be called "JiWoo Hime (Princess JiWoo)" among her fans. Such supporting in  Japan must be a background of appearance on "Rondo". But it is a fact that her image in Korea is not so good. JonSo in a drama "stairways to heaven" like an extension line of Yujin, and
a position of a teacher in a movie "the President playing a piano" did not attract attention so much either. And in April, 2006, further romance "Yeonriji" came over. It is a story of love of the limited life facing to death. When "it was a sob story again" passed through my mind, protest was conveyed from her.

"This work is not a sob story stimulating the lacrimal gland". Haewon has a playful charactor, even made threatening language of gooseflesh. And she is forcible character drawing out from herself, not depend on a man."

I tried to look back, she was not always surely only in a love story of a pure and innocent group. A position of a bride confronting a mother-in-law deeply　attaching to a son in movie initial work "Olga mi ", "Everybody has a secret", appearing was a scholar group, but played a woman with full of curiosity in love.

"I had played quite various positions in a movie. There was 'NOWHERE' a little on a turn. But an image of "Winter Sonata" would be big. Everyone think I only play romance movie."

In "Yeonriji", she is going to never tell all only with tears. rather she is stately, smart and manly,

"Talk in frank,I don't hope to love like a "Yeonriji". Because it is a movie, such a story is possible. I hate too sad love. Therefore I continues playing sad scene, I tried to bring a pleasant feeling, being in love."

About a pupolation in Japan,
"I think that it was very lucky. Nobody thought that "Winter Sonata" made a great hit in Japan. A A burden is big, too. Since now, which should I do a performance?"

She who likes a light romantic comedy than a serious love drama, and has optimistic  character, continued talking in a brighter tone.

"It will be natural that an actor feels pressure for a performance. But I think that I should play it like oneself as me. Reconciliation is early if I feel that it does not seem to be myself. There will be a person thinking that an actor must manage any kind of position well. But frankly speaking, If there is my proud field, and all of you are pleased with it, I think that it is good."

But she has a desire.

"Eventful position which like Scarlett O'Hara of "Gone with the Wind", Nicole Kidman of "A cold mountain", wants to try to play it, too. I like an old movie, and a historical drama wants to try it by all means. I want to try a large-scale, and various cases happen movie. A chivalry movie? If there is not have an action scene, it is OK. I don't have a confidence in an action scene."

But, Choi JiWoo had a gun in her hand in "rondo" only once.

"It was the first time that I had a pistol in my hand, but it was interesting. I had be looked so cool, hadn't?"

The day when she shows a splendid action may come over sometime soon.
