Hi! Everybody
Today is Chinese New Year’s Eve, the climax of the New Year celebrations.
I was very busy all day because we must worship of our ancestors.
Chinese New Year is the biggest festival in Main-Land China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and where Chinese live.
Everyone must go home no matter how far they are. Elders will give hung-bao( money filled red envelopes) to children. At mid-night( 12:00), we light off fire crackers to usher in the new year.
We also buy new clothes, especially red color clothes, to wear on 1st day of New Year (Lunar 1st Jan).
On second day, daughters who married must return to their parents’ home with their husbands and children.
We will say some good words to everyone we met like 恭喜發財 ( it means wish you will have lots of money in coming year) and 萬事如意 ( it means wish you everything is perfect).
So I want to say some good words to your guys here
Happy Chinese New Year of Goat
恭喜發財
萬事如意
